About Camino Mio

Hi, I'm Viktor.

I walked the Camino Francés in May 2019. I'd never hiked a day in my life. I heard about the Camino, walked into a shop, spent more than I'd planned on boots, a backpack, and everything else, booked a flight, and two weeks later I was at the start.

Two things stayed with me. First, the people — strangers who became friends over a shared menú del peregrino, conversations that carried on stage after stage. Second, how hard it had been to find honest, practical information before I left. I'd pieced things together from a dozen forums, half-current blogs, and old PDFs.

Camino Mio is my answer to both. A content portal with the guides I wish I'd had, and a mobile app — now on the App Store — built around the part of the Camino that mattered most to me: connecting with the people walking next to you.

Where the project is today

The website is live with guides for planning, packing, foot care, albergues, eating on the trail, and what comes after Santiago. Articles are added and updated as the Camino changes.

The companion mobile app is now on the App Store. It works fully offline, respects your battery, and puts the practical side of the walk first — every stage, your plan, and your bookings, in your pocket.
